So Kara and Asa and I get up before the sun, 6 or so, to run to the docks of Istanbul so we can catch a ferry across the Bosporus and the sea of Marmara to Bandirma. We'll hang out in Bandirma for an hour and then jump a train for seven hours to Izmir, where we'll catch the last bus of the day to Seljuk, where we can get to Ephesus "no Problem."
We get to the ferry terminal and the guy at the desk says that the ferry runs fine but because this is Tuesday, there is no train.
Staying in Istanbul is not an option, so we all hop on the ferry for a beautiful dawn over Marmara:

Asa snoozes and plays with other passengers...

and we arrive in Bandirma, where fishermen fish and few tourists ever stop and sit...

watch fishermen....

and we catch the evening train to Izmir.

We end up in a seedy Izmir hotel for the night and catching a bus in the gigantic bus terminal the next morning...
